Add On Yoga Nidra Teacher Certification Course Level 1

For students who have previously completed the Home Study Course

While the concept of Yoga Nidra as psychic sleep or deep relaxation with inner awareness is found in ancient texts, the contours of the contemporary practice of Yoga Nidra were developed at the Bihar School of Yoga more than 50 years ago. This course approaches Yoga Nidra within the framework and understanding as developed in this tradition.

__________

“First you need to remember that you are not a teacher. When you begin to think that you are a yoga teacher, that blocks learning. A student will never block learning. Rather than identifying with being a yoga teacher, it should be the other way around. A teacher should become a more humble student. It is that humble student who eventually becomes a teacher because they don’t close the door of learning." -Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati

  • Why do I have to attend the teacher training weekend in person? Can I participate via webinar?

We recognize that you have access to teacher training programs that are fully online. However, we believe strongly in the importance of in-person aspects of teacher training as they bring a different energy, experience, and a deeper level of connection between student and teacher, as well as that between fellow trainees.

  • Can you hold a teacher training weekend in my city?

Provided there are enough participants in a given city or area, we remain open to holding a teacher training weekend in your vicinity. Additional fees may be required on account of travel and space rental expenses.

  • What if I cannot attend one of the upcoming weekends?

We expect to hold teacher training weekends several times a year. As such, you should be able to attend one of them. We feel that you have course access for long enough to be able to attend one of these weekends.

  • What if I need to reschedule the on-site weekend date?

It happens. We may find that WE need to reschedule a weekend. Please check online for the upcoming dates and reschedule at least a month in advance of the weekend you are registered for. Please check in with us before before finalizing your travel plans.
